METHODS OF MINISTRY:
1) TRUST FUND: The Friends of India Trust Fundwas established with the National Association of Free Will BaptistFoundation in January of 2007. The Money placed into this account willremain in the account. Only the interest from this Trust Fund will be used to support the Free Will Baptist work in India . This will provide a perpetual source of income.
2) GENERAL FUND: Some people have indicated a desire to help with present needs so they give to specific projects that help the ministry to grow and expand now. These gifts are a great help in our present growth and are used as designated. Some current projects include:
– Building Churches in India to provide places for Indian Christians to worship out of the heat and rain.
– Buying Motorbikes and bicycles for Pastors and Evangelist in order to help them travel to the numerous congregations to which they minister.
– Helping maintain our Boy’s Home and our Educational Institutes
– Helping people directly during famines, providing clean drinking water, and educating people in better farming methods.
– Purchasing Land for future building projects
How can YOU Help?
- Evangelist/ Church Planter salary for a Month is $50 (Ordinary worker’s average salary in this part of India is around $100 per month. Our workers are building God’s Kingdom for half the normal salary).
- Monthly Salary for Pastors (who oversee around 25 churches each) is $200
- A Bicycle for Evangelist and Church Planters to travel from village to village is $75.
- Motorbikes for Pastors to visit their congregations are $2,000
- A concrete Church Building is $50,000.
